Ibex Insurance Services Ltd., (Ibex) was

established in 2000 as a coverholder for

Lloyd's,the world's leading insurance market.

 

Over the years we have rapidly expanded to become the largest insurance provider for expatriates based in the Iberian Peninsula, accomplished as a result of our high quality cover, competitive rates and innovation, and the continued support of our intermediaries.

We have a network of over 250 intermediaries throughout Spain and Portugal in addition to our own branch offices in Spain, Gibraltar and Portugal. All of our intermediaries receive regular training and support from our dedicated business development team so you can be assured you will receive the same quality service whether you prefer to buy directly, or through our intermediary network.

We were the first insurance provider in the Iberian Peninsula to offer an 'instant quote and buy online' facility and our team of customer service representatives continue to provide an outstanding service offering you the choice to buy online, over the telephone or face to face through our retail network.

All our policy documents are in English and you will always be able to talk to an English speaking member of staff, not to be underestimated when you’re in a foreign country.

A selection of our policies are also available to Spanish nationals through Iberian Seguros which is a trading name of Iberian Agencia de Suscripcion S.L, part of the Ibex Group.

Ibex also have a proven track record in assisting wholesale brokers develop niche insurance schemes by facilitating access to capital and by providing first class transactional infrastructure and support.

In 2008 RJ Kiln and Co Ltd, the international insurance and reinsurance group acquired a minority shareholding in Ibex Insurance Services ltd. Our relationship with Kiln is a testament to our standards. We work closely with specialist underwriters at Kiln continuously looking at ways to develop and improve the products we offer you.

Kiln is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tokio Marine. Its UK operating company, R J Kiln & Co Limited, has five syndicates at Lloyd’s and, in terms of capacity, is one of the largest agencies trading in the Lloyd’s insurance market. In addition to the UK, Kiln has offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa and Belgium

A recognised leader in each of the five main business areas in which it operates: reinsurance,accident and health, aviation, marine and special risks, and property, Kiln syndicates enjoy a security rating of ‘A+’ (Strong) assigned to Lloyd’s by Standard and Poor’s.

In turn Kiln are fully owned by Tokio Marine and Nichido Fire Insurance Co. Limited one of the largest insurance groups in the world and a Standard and Poor’s rating of AA / Stable.
